Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shehbaz Sharif said that no doubt the people would cast their votes wisely on February 8; making it clear that they would accept whatever decision would come that day.
“PML-N has launched our electoral campaign. And you will see Mian Nawaz Sharif, I, Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz will lead this campaign everywhere,” said Shehbaz Sharif while addressing a press conference at the party’s secretariat in Lahore on Wednesday.
“In my view, these elections are very important as they will decide the destiny of this country. As you had seen back in 2017 that Nawaz Sharif’s efforts led Pakistan towards progress, day and night work ended load-shedding and to empower the industry, and you had seen back in 2018 that the load-shedding had come to an end,” he recalled while quoting his elder brother Nawaz Sharif’s statement to end the load-shedding.
He mentioned former CJP Saqib Nisar, saying that had Nawaz Sharif not been removed the country would have not been in economic troubles today. “The GDP growth had gone beyond 6 points but a conspiracy removed Nawaz Sharif from power,” he said. Later, he said that inflation hit the country, the IMF agreement was broken, the diplomatic relations were damaged and polarization penetrated,” said Shehbaz Sharif.
The PML-N president emphasized upon ending the hate but accepted that eliminating the deep-rooted hate was not an easy task. He vowed to end the hate from the polarized society.
“The journey that was stopped by Bat and Rod will be restored again under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. But you can imagine that the past six years of the public had gone to waste. And during the 16-month rule, the PDM government saved the country from default,” said the former PM.
