Dr. Irfan Ahmad Gondal, Chairperson of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology at the National Skills University Islamabad, participated in a training workshop organized by LNGnet, a project funded by the European Union. The workshop mainly focussed on fostering secure, sustainable, diverse, and competitive gas supplies by supporting the development of a liquid, flexible, and transparent Global Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Market in Europe and beyond.
The National Skills University Islamabad, in its steadfast commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG7, focused on affordable and clean energy, seamlessly aligns with the objectives of LNGnet.
Corroborating with the vision of clean and green energy, faculty and researchers at this university are working day and night to advance technologies highly relevant to global sustainability without compromising energy supplies.
This workshop, hosted in the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh City, brought together experts across the globe and stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for fostering a transparent LNG market. The discussions also focused on enhancing international cooperation among key importing and exporting countries and contributing to renewable and decarbonized gas supplies.
