How to identify fake Rs1000 currency note? check SBP guidelines

KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has given details of security features of Rs1000 currency note to save citizens from unknowingly getting the fake one during any exchange.

In a video shared on micro blogging site X (former Twitter), the SBP has shared details of security features of Rs1000 currency note printed on a special paper.

The security features include water mark of Quaid Azam picture, safety thread, raised signs and digits which can be seen through on the left side and color changing flag, hidden 1000 digit which can appear on seen through different angles on the right side.

Raised printings on portions of Quaid-e-Azam picture and lines on both sides of the currency note are part of the security features.

On exposure to ultraviolet light, different portions appear in different colours.

As per the SBP, people can easily distinguish a fake currency note by looking into these security features.
