QUETTA – The Pakistan Meteorological department (PMD) has forecast rainfall of varying intensities for Quetta and parts of Balochistan during the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
A westerly wave is likely to enter Balochistan on January 4 and may persist till January 5.
Under these conditions, cloudy weather with rain and snowfall over hills is likely in Chagai, Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Loralai, Pashin, Mastung, Kalat, Kharan, Harnai, Sibi, Noshki, Khuzdar, Lasbella, Turbat, Panjgur, Kech, Awaran and coastal areas of Makran on Thursday and Friday.
In Quetta, minimum temperature is likely to remain between -02-00 degrees Celsius on Thursday and -01-01 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of Balochistan during the last 24 hours.
Extremely cold weather prevailed in northern Balochistan.
Kalat remained the coldest place in Balochistan where mercury dropped 02 C below freezing.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Quetta, minimum temperature was recorded at -01 C.
