The Hurriyat leaders and organizations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have strongly condemned the Indian government’s move to ban another Hurriyat organization, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir and described it as frustration of the authorities.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar pointed out that Kashmir was an internationally recognized dispute and India cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle with its high-handed tactics.

He asserted that Indian brutality and oppression could not weaken the Kashmiris’ resolve, and they would continue their struggle until complete freedom from India is achieved.

Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad castigated the Modi-led Indian extremist regime for imposing ban on the activities of one more pro-freedom organisation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e Hurriyat, to strangle the Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.

He emphasised upon the United Nations and its relevant organs to prevent India from seizure of properties and sealing of houses of the Kashmiris for their sin of demanding the right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Qazi Imran, Abdul Majeed Mir, Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir and others in their separate statements have strongly condemned the ban on the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat

They said according to the Charter of the United Nations every human being has the birthright to raise his voice for his rights and the organizations in Jammu and Kashmir are fighting peacefully for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiris as per the Charter of the United Nations.

It should be noted that the Indian government has already banned Jamaat-e-Islami in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front and Dukhtaran-e-Millat.

Yesterday, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah in a post on X announced a ban on Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir to suppress the Kashmir freedom movement in the occupied territory.—KMS
