The entire nation of Pakistan is celebrating the birth anniversary of “Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah” with traditional devotion and enthusiasm on 25th Dec 23. Jinnah’s inspiring leadership and his principles are still immensely relevant to the aspirations and obstacles facing Pakistan today.

His reflective insights on Kashmir, minority rights, national cohesion, and the significance of faith, discipline, and unity for Pakistan’s progress remain remarkably pertinent in today’s context. Jinnah’s visionary ideals resonate amid contemporary challenges faced by Pakistan, such as economic development, social cohesion, regional stability, and global diplomacy.

His emphasis on inclusive governance and respect for diversity serves as a guiding light in fostering harmony among Pakistan’s diverse ethnic and religious societies. His commitment to justice and equality endures to inspire efforts to address socioeconomic disparities and certify equal opportunities for all citizens, regardless of background or status.

In the current landscape marked by technological advancements and evolving global relations, Jinnah’s advocacy for Pakistan’s sovereignty and self-reliance holds renewed significance. The personal integrity and honesty of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah were evident throughout his illustrious legal career. He was renowned for returning fees if he felt unsatisfactory service was provided or if the client couldn’t afford it, showcasing his commitment to fairness and justice. Once, Jinnah declined the title of “Sir” offered by the British, rejecting the notion of superiority over others, and emphasizing equality. He also refused significant donations for his political cause, prioritizing principles over monetary gain, and displaying unwavering ethical fortitude. His faith in the creation of Pakistan remained steadfast despite immense opposition. This conviction inspired millions and eventually led to the establishment of Pakistan. Once in a cabinet meeting, when his ADC asked the menu, he forbade it and said ministers should have taken breakfast before starting the meeting.

During the 1940s in Bombay (now Mumbai), he fell seriously ill with pneumonia. Miss Emily Harkness, a British nurse, cared for him devotedly. Despite his role in Pakistan’s creation, Jinnah showed immense gratitude, honoring her dedication with a gift and a letter, showcasing his respect for humanity beyond nationality.

His disciplined leadership was apparent in meticulous planning during the struggle for independence. His honest negotiations with British and Indian leaders underscored his commitment to truthfulness and the Muslim community’s cause. Moreover, Jinnah firmly advocated for a constitutional government, emphasizing democratic values as Pakistan’s governance cornerstone. Mr. Jinnah understood the shrewd mentality of Hindus and declined the offer to be the first governor general of United India at the cost of not making Pakistan.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah played an instrumental role in establishing Pakistan as a nation where every citizen was envisioned to have equal opportunities forprogress, irrespective of their caste, creed, race, religion, or language. His refusal of titles or financial support against his principles serve as reminders to stay true to his convictions. His perseverance in Pakistan’s creation teaches the importance ofdedication.
