A protest demonstration was held in Ra-jouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the continued suspension of electricity despite the collection of a hefty amount of money from the residents in the form of bills.

According to Kashmir Media Service, locals including social and political activists assembled at Old Bus Stand in the town and held the demonstration in favour of their demands.

The protesters said that smooth power supply is very essential for normal life but areas of Rajouri district are reeling under severe power crisis.

“Scheduled curtailment of electricity is not a major issue but the main problem is unscheduled curtailment of electricity,” the protesters said.

“We demand proper electricity supply. There should be an end to the unscheduled power curtailment,” the protesters added.—KMS
