Pakistani rupee stages comeback against US dollar after brief plunge

KARACHI – Pakistani rupee makes a comeback against US dollar after brief plunge amid increasing demand for greenback.

Data shared by the central bank shows that local currency appreciated by Rs0.12 in the inter-bank market on Tuesday.

PKR hovers around 283.50 in the early hours and later settled at 283.78 after a surge of Rs0.12.

Earlier this week, the rupee faced a decline and was quoted at 283.90 against USD.

US Dollar Price in Pakistan

In the open market, the rupee remained largely stable against US dollar in open market. The currency was quoted at 284.75 for selling and 281.75 for buying.
