The first meeting of the search committee established for the appointment of a permanent vice chancellor of the Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology was held on under the chairmanship of the convener search committee and chairman HEC, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, at the HEC Regional Center here on Wednesday.
Other members of the search committee Prof. Dr. A.Q.Mughal, Shahid Shafiq, Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi, Dr. Syed Akhlaq Hussain and Sheikh Kashif Rafat were in attendance.Acting Registrar, FUUAST, Muhammad Siddique performed the duties of the secretary of the search committee.
The search committee finalized the advertisement for the appointment of permanent VC of FUUAST and formulated the procedure for short-listing. The convener of the search committee, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, expressed his determination that the search committee will complete its work in six weeks in the light of the decision made in the Senate meeting held under the chairmanship of the President and Chancellor of the FUUAST, Dr. Arif Alvi. so that a permanent VC can be appointed in the Federal Urdu University as soon as possible.
