Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has prepared a draft for bringing changes to the 18th Amendment of the Constitution, reliable sources revealed. The party is set to present the draft in its upcoming convention scheduled in Karachi. Sources further said that it is necessary for powers to be delegated to the grassroots level, saying that only the chief minister has been empowered after the introduction of the 18th Amendment.
While MQM-P is reported to have been working on altering the constitutional amendment, PML-N rejected reports suggesting that the party was intending to alter the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has extended invitations to political parties for participation in the convention where the draft will be presented. They went on to add that a resolution will be presented in the national assembly elected in the upcoming elections.
