ISLAMABAD – Mobile internet users across Islamabad and Rawalpindi are =sharply different network speeds, with fresh speed test results revealing substantial performance gaps between Jazz, Zong and Ufone, despite an encouraging overall assessment by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The findings, collected from six locations across the twin cities, show that mobile internet performance can change dramatically depending on the network operator and geographical area. While some locations recorded download speeds exceeding 90 Mbps, others struggled to reach even 5 Mbps.
Mobile Internet Speed in Pakistan

| DHA Phase 2 | Zong | 93.1 | 4.49 |
The results comes amid high-level network quality inspection conducted by PTA, during which the regulator’s chairman personally reviewed telecom services and network performance across Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Among the reported speed tests, Zong delivered the fastest download performance, reaching 93.1 Mbps in DHA Phase 2. The operator also registered impressive speeds of 75.6 Mbps at Koral Chowk and 72.6 Mbps at Khanna East, placing it ahead of competing networks at several tested locations.
Jazz achieved its highest reported download speed of 51.4 Mbps at Khanna East. However, the network’s performance varied considerably elsewhere, dropping to just 4.09 Mbps in PWD. Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), which operates Ufone, recorded its strongest download speed of 72.6 Mbps in DHA Phase 2, followed by 48.8 Mbps at T-Chowk Rawat and 47.3 Mbps at Koral Chowk.
