The Pakistan cricket team’s training camp, gearing up for the upcoming Australia Test tour, con-cluded a two-day scenario match at Pindi Stadium on Sunday.

During the second day of this practice game, the Pakistani batters accumulated a total of 237-8 in 51.3 overs. Saud Shakeel remained unbeaten at 81, leading the batting effort. Sarfaraz Ahmed made a valuable contribution with 43 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan added 25 to the team’s total.

The bowlers also made their presence felt in the scenario match. Hasan Ali showcased his bowling prowess by taking 2 wickets for 24 runs, and Mir Hamza contributed with a wicket, returning figures of 1-48. This match provided a valuable opportunity for the players to fine-tune their skills and strategies ahead of the challenging Australia Test tour.

Saim Ayub aspires to exhibit a fearless style of cricket across all formats for Pakistan. He is part of the 18-member squad selected for the upcoming three-match Test tour of Australia.

During a media interaction in Rawalpindi on Sunday, Saim shared insights into his batting strat-egy for the longest format of the game.

Expressing his perspective, Saim emphasized the team’s commitment to adopting a fearless ap-proach in Australia.

“We will play with a fearless approach in Aus-tralia. However, fearless approach doesn’t mean to slog blindly. Good bowlers should be given re-spect,” Saim said.

Saim envisions becoming a specialist player across all three formats. He expressed his desire not to be pigeonholed as a specialist in any specific format but rather to evolve into a cricket specialist capable of adapting his game to the demands of different formats.

“I don’t want to be considered as a specialist of a particular format. I want to become cricket specialist, which includes all three formats. I always try to adjust my game according to different formats,” he said.
