Abbottabad bag Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Trophy

Abbottabad outplayed Karachi to win the 14th edition of the National Bank of Pakistan T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2023 (Grade-2) title by 10 wickets in the final at the Bohranwali Cricket Ground, Faisalabad on Sunday.

In the morning, Abbottabad won the toss and put Karachi into Bat first. Karachi set a competitive total of 231 runs on the board for no loss in the stipulated 20 overs. Tahir Ali was the top scorer for Karachi, he made an unbeaten 120 runs off 74 balls and Ayoub Khan scored 93 runs off 52 balls.

In reply, Abbottabad openers played exceptionally well and didn’t give any chance to the Karachi Bowlers. Riasat Khan’s exceptional form with the bat continued and he remained unbeaten on 110 runs off 62 balls while Naeem Ullah played a handy innings of unbeaten 79 runs off 53 balls to guide their side home. Abbottabad reached the target of 232 runs in 18.4 overs without any loss.

Man of the Match was Riasat Khan. Hammad Rasool (Regional Executive Business & Vice President NBP Faisalabad), Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman PBCC & President World Blind Cricket Ltd, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa (Head of I R Department G C University Faisalabad), Mr Muzaffar Hussain Saalik (Assistant Professor, Agriculture University Faisalabad), Salman Tariq Bukhari, Director Marketing PBCC, Anwar Ali Sial, Director Finance PBCC and Muhammad Bilal Director Cricket Operations were the guests of the occasion and distributed prizes amongst the players.

Players of the Tournament were B1:Raheel Ahmed (Sheikhopura); B2:Ehtisham ul Haq (At-tock); B3:Muhammad Saleem (Quetta); Best Wicket Keeper: Naseeb Ullah (Quetta).—APP
