Indian forces’ personnel on Monday launched a cordon and search operation in Rajouri district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation was launched in Saloki forest area the district. Indian military officials claimed that the joint operation was conducted on the information about presence of mujahideen in the area.
Moreover, India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) attached, today, the property of an illegally detained Muslim man in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the NIA attached the property of Muhammad Yaseen, a resident of Dhrooti village in Balakot area of the district, on the orders of its Special Court in Jammu for his affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement. The NIA dubbed him as member of a mujahid organization to justify the confiscation of his property.
Muhammad Yaseen was arrested on 27th December 2020 in a false case. He was charge-sheeted on 24th June 2021 and is currently facing trial under various sections of Indian Penal Code, Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
It is to be mentioned here that the Narendra Modi-led Indian government is confiscating the properties, homes, shops and offices of the Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, activists and organizations to punish them for their role in the ongoing freedom movement.—KMS
