Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Sundas Irshad visited different bricks kilns in the district to review use of Zigzag technology for avoiding spread smog in the area, on Friday. Assistant Director Environment Protection Hafizabad Naveed Ahmad was also accompanied by her.
During the inspection, DC directed that officers of Environment Protection to ensure use of Zigzag Technology in bricks kilns and strict action would be taken against violators of smart lockdown.
Assistant Director informed on the occasion that officers conducted 224 inspections of different bricks kilns, three cases get registered against owners of bricks kilns whereas 13 bricks kilns playing without zigzag technology sealed as well as Rs. 2686000/= fine charged from owners of bricks kilns on committing violation of SOPs.
Meanwhile, AC Hafizabad Munawar Hussain, AC Pindi Bhattian Rashid Iqbal and Chief Officer Municipal Committee PindiBhattianIkramUllahSandhu sealed 31 restaurants to violate smart lockdown in the district, on Friday.
Meanwhile, DC HafizabadSundasIrshad directed the officers of district administration to ensure hundred percent implement on orders of smart lockdown imposed by the Punjab government in the district Hafizabad.
Addressing a meeting held to review arrangements made by the district administration to ensure smart lockdown, she said that all educational institutions, markets, shopping malls, restaurants, markets, parks, gymnasiums will be remained closed from today (Saturday) in the district.
