Unknown persons have written slogans like “Free Kashmir” and “Bhagwa Jalega” (Bhagwa will burn) on the walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in New Delhi .

According to Kashmir Media Service, several walls on the JNU campus witnessed slogans like, “Free Kashmir”, “Bhagwa Jalega” and “Teri Qabar Khudegi” (Your grave will be dug).

The incident comes years after the ‘Freedom for Kashmir’ poster appeared in the university. In 2016, a massive controversy erupted after former JNU students Umar Khalid, Anirban Bhattacharya and others had organised an event against the hanging of prominent Kashmiri leader Muhammad Afzal Guru at the campus. During the event, anti-India slogans were raised by some students.—KMS
