Several stuck in traffic after protesters block Teen Hatti

Traffic was jammed at roads connecting to Teen Hatti on Friday evening after people blocked the roads in protest against load shedding and gas shortage in the area, the traffic police said.“The traffic is being diverted from Post Office to Nazimabad and Gurmandir to Jamshed Road and also from Lasbela to Nazimabad,” said the traffic police while sharing the alternative routes.A large number of protesters belonging to the Martin Quartes were present on the site who burned tyres and blocked the road.They blocked the roads leading to and from Liaquatabad to Gurumandir.

Last month, protesters blocked one of the busiest routes of Karachi, Baloch Colony bridge, for more than three hours.

The traffic was cleared the police assured the protesters of restoring the supply of electricity to their area.School vans, motorists, and drivers were stuck in traffic jams. The people were protesting against what they claimed unavailability of water and inflated power bills.
