COMSATS, Carol Technology to work for technology-driven initiatives

The Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) signed mondy a Memorandum of Understanding with the Carol Technology, aimed at facilitating joint R&D projects for technological advancements.

COMSATS is an intergovernmental organization of 27 developing countries focused at promoting S&T development of its Member States. Whereas Carol Technology is dedicated to offering cutting-edge technical expertise, a team of skilled personnel, and specialized knowledge to actively contribute to the collaborative research projects addressing the particular needs of industries and academia. It is one of the pioneers in Pakistan that introduced inspection of wind turbines through Unmanned Aerial vehicles (UAVs). The MOU was signed by Executive Director COMSATS, Amb. Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, and Head of R&D, Consultant, Carol Technology, Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Ali. This formalized cooperation agreement will serve as a framework to make joint efforts in facilitating Research and Development for advancing research in areas of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT), Internet of Things (IoT), and a range of innovation projects.
