Since the time Mr. Malik took over as Director General Environmental Protection Agency of Punjab, we keep on hearing good things happening both in governance and operations management.
Posed with the question that how he being head of EPA Punjab is going to deal with the upcoming smog season he felt at ease by responding that we have presented the strategy to the cabinet committee on smog and that if all departments shall adhere to their assigned roles there will no phenomena of smog.
This correspondent has learned through interaction with staff of EPA that Mr. Malik has developed an inventory of the industry which cause pollution and keeping in view the support that he draws from the Secretary EPD and Chief Secretary Punjab he is destined to succeed.
