Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said Special Investment Facilitation Council will play a pivotal role in revamping country’s economy.
He was chairing a briefing in Islamabad on Thursday regarding the SIFC to bolster Foreign Direct Investment in the country.
The Prime Minister said there is immense potential for foreign investment in tourism and infrastructure projects and special attention will also be given to the development of these sectors under the umbrella of SIFC.
The Prime Minister said there is huge potential for foreign investment in the sectors of agriculture, mining and minerals, IT, energy and defense production.
Terming SIFC as a ray of hope for Pakistan’s economic development, he expressed determination of the caretaker setup to ensure maximum utilization of this forum.
The Prime Minister was informed about the whole of the government approach to increase foreign capital and facilitate investors under SIFC.
SIFC provides one-window facility to investors for their projects.
