Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), Raja Najabat Hussain, has said that a campaign will be launched for the release of Kashmiri political prisoners lodged in various jails of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India.
Raja Najabat Hussain while addressing an event organized in his honour by the Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Council UK said the JKSDMI is contacting all like-minded individuals and organizations so that in the next few days lobby programs can be organized in the Parliament and different cities in the UK.
Raja Najabat Hussain was recently awarded Sitara-i-Pakistan by the President of Pakistan for exposing before the world the human rights violations by Indian troops in IIOJK.
Other speakers at the event asked the participants to work with their MPs and councilors in their respective cities to strategize the campaign to highlight the Kashmir dispute.
Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Council UK Chairman, Raja Javed Iqbal, congratulated Raja Najabat Hussain on receiving the award of Satara-i-Pakistan and appreciated his unwavering commitment and tireless efforts for highlighting the Kashmir cause and the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
Master Fazal Dad, Sardar Abdul Rehman, Raja Ayub, Arshad Advocate, Raja Mazhar Zeib, Raja Tahir Salim, Raja Mahmood and Muhammad Jameel also addressed the ceremony while Chaudhry Muhammad Asghar, Chaudhry Sagheer Kalis, Chaudhry Zaheer Kalis, Chaudhry Shaukat and Raja Basharat were also present at the event.—KMS
