The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) on Tuesday decided to support the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in electing the Sindh opposition leader.Addressing a press conference along with MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal, GDA leader Dr Safdar Abbasi said: “The negotiations between the MQM-P and GDA have been completed.
The two parties [MQM-P and GDA] were working together on several occasions”.He clarified that the GDA is going to vote for the MQM-P. “For this purpose, we will support MQM-P candidate Rana Ansar,” he added.On this occasion, Mustafa Kamal said: “I wanted to thank the GDA for supporting the MQM-P in the appointment of the opposition leader”.
Taking a swipe at the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Kamal asserted, “The PPP has made Sindh its fiefdom”.
