Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) has launched a campaign to graft 0.5 million wild olive in Wana, Lower South Waziristan. A seemingly challenging and hardship task being undertaken by Friends of WAWA, together with the youth of the community. General Secretary of Wana Welfare Association Jalal Wazir said that this is a program spanning many years, if the community understands its benefits and income in the true sense, believe that these people will not go to foreign countries or cities for employment.

Rather, this treasure on the mountains will be consumed comfortably for many generations, it will stop the cutting of trees, and it will have a good effect on the environment. Jalal Wazir said that the recent olive grafting will be a means of sustaining our agriculture and it has many benefits, but all sections should actively participate in this good work.

He said that some work cannot be done only by an association or a single group, Rather, some work has to be done at the national level at the beat of the drum, the grafting of wild olives is the easiest way to give our nation a respectable position economically at the world and national level.
