The youth was martyred by Indian troops during a violent siege and search operation in Nowshera area of the district.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army, paramilitary and police personnel continued search operations in Mendhar, Noorkote and Nakerkote areas of Poonch district.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for a complete shutdown in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of 22 Kashmiris who were martyred by the armed forces of Dogra Maharaja on 13th July in 1931.

The APHC leadership in a statement in Srinagar appealed to all freedom-loving people to also conduct a march towards the Mazar-e-Shuhada at Naqshband Sahib in Srinagar to offer Fateha for the departed souls on the day.

APHC Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar and other Hurriyat leaders and organisations including Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar and Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in their statements said the message of July 13 is that martyrdom is better than the curse of slavery.—KMS
