Sindh Minister for Information and Labor Saeed Ghani has said that Sindh Livestock Expo, scheduled to be held on 8th and 9th February in Hyderabad would be a milestone. Provincial Minister for Information said that by organizing this Expo the Sindh government was trying to boost investment in the province in the livestock sector, besides improving its image nationally and internationally. He said this while addressing a press conference along with Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Abdul Bari Pitafi at Karachi Press Club on Sunday. Saeed Ghani said that the only purpose of the press conference was to create awareness amongst the people of Sindh about the efforts of Sindh government towards boosting the livestock sector. He said that people from every walk of life besides the breeders and livestock owners from other provinces had been invited to attend this Livestock Expo. “Livestock Expo is not only aimed at promoting cattle farming but also all types of livestock farming in the province”, the Minister said. Ghani said that all the arrangements for the Livestock Expo had been finalized and the Sindh government was doing its utmost to make this grand Expo a success. Ghani said that Sindh government wanted the growth of the Livestock sector to a level that where it could contribute to the overall economy. Abdul Bari Pitafi while informing the media about the forthcoming Livestock Expo said that the Sindh government was devising a new policy apropos the development of Livestock sector in the province and this Expo would a big step towards it. “This Expo would be extremely helpful for all those seeking knowledge about the livestock information management, livestock breeding, genetics and genomics, disease control and product development”, Abdul Bari Pitafi said. He said that besides livestock entrepreneurship and transfer of livestock technologies would also be promoted through this Expo. The Minister said that arrangements for the entertainment of families especially kids had also been made as there would bird show as well as dogs and cats show. Pitafi said that the main purpose of this Expo was to give an opportunity to the traditional livestock owners to turn their livestock into market oriented farm animals. He said that Sindh had enough potential in livestock and dairy. Later Saeed Ghani travelled with Sindh Livestock Expo 2020 rally led by Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Abdul Bari Pitafi. The rally consisted of 70 vehicles. The rally commenced its journey from Karachi Press Club and ended at Poultry Research Institute, Korangi, from where on Monday the 3rd of February it would start its journey towards Hyderabad via Thatta. The rally also passed by the CM House, Bilawal Chowrangi and Sea View.
