Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday asked the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership to provide the list of 25 party workers who, it claimed, were killed by the law-enforcement agencies.

Talking to media during his surprise visit to Lahore’s Lady Willingdon Hospital, he said right now only 11 PTI female workers were in prisons in the province.

He further said that Thalassemia, a blood disease, could be overcome by adopting a better strategy. “The Punjab government will talk to the people and health institutions combating spread of the disease,” he added. Earlier, he was welcomed by MS Zohra Khan on arrival at the hospital.

Vice-Chancellor King Edward University Mahmood Ayyaz, provincial minister Javed Akram, and Health Secretary Ali Jan also accompanied the chief minister to the hospital.

CM Naqvi attended a flag-hoisting ceremony at the hospital.—INP
