Sindh Police on Monday arrested a suspect and foiled a drug smuggling attempt from Quetta to Karachi.According to the details, the police conducted an operation at Moachko checkpost in Karachi and apprehended the suspect involved in smuggling drugs from Quetta to Karachi, while recovered six packets of drugs from secret compartments in his car.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Keamari Fida Hussain stated that the suspect, Khurshid, was smuggling drugs from Quetta to Karachi via Hub road. He further explained that the packets of drugs were concealed and hidden in the car. The suspect has been transferred to the police station and a case has been registered against him.
In March, the Customs officials have foiled a smuggling bid worth Rs 110 million at Quetta-Karachi highway. As per details, the custom officials conducted a raid near a check post on Quetta Karachi highway and recovered heroin worth Rs 110 million from a car.
