Imran Khan-led PTI to write letter to ECP and CEC for the matter. “What democracy is there in Pakistan?” Former minister questions.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry Sunday censured the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for obstructing his party’s Labour Day rally across the country. “The Election Commission has given notice to PTI to not hold a rally on Labour Day. The purpose of the May 1 holiday is for workers to stand up for their rights,” the former information minister said while speaking in a video posted on PTI’s Twitter account.

Meanwhile, the ECP has sent a written notice to PTI Chairman Imran Khan stating it found out about a rally from Liberty Chowk to Nasir Bagh under your leadership. The electoral authority’s district monitoring officer, in the notice, added that permission for rallies and processions must be sought from the district administration.
