The Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has said that India’s claims about being the world’s largest democracy stand exposed to the entire world.
“India is neither democratic nor a secular state where minorities and non-Hindu people are being denied their right to live,” he added.
In a message aired by media on the occasion of India’s so-called Republic Day, he said that the freedom loving people across the world particularly the people of Pakistan and Kashmir are observing black day today to expose India’s hegemonic and fanatic designs, particularly the oppressive face of the Indian government, ruling Bharatia Janata Party, and its ally RSS.
The AJK president lamented that even after 72 long years, India continues to occupy the Muslim majority state of Kashmir, and now under a Satanic plans, it is ousting the Kashmiri people from their homeland. “The plan is designed to ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri people and the turn the Muslim majority of Kashmir into a minority,” he added.
Sardar Masood Khan pointed out that when the Modi regime attempted to impose its fascism on the Indian Muslims and other minorities, the whole of India had risen up against the BJP and the RSS, and thus the extremist Narendra Modi paved the way for Kashmir-like uprising in the length and cranny of his own country.
The state president strongly condemned unlawful Indian actions of August 5, 2019. “We convey to India to lift its occupation of Kashmir, pull back its occupation troops, end the siege and grant right of self-determination to the Kashmir people,” he said and added that the occupied territory had no longer been part of India nor will it happen in future.
Sardar Masood Khan said that the Indian rulers and military chiefs must stop threatening to wage war on Azad Kashmir and Pakistan, otherwise, the brunt of even minor mistake will have to be borne by coming generations.
“Today is certainly the blackest day because the people of occupied Kashmir are faced with the Indian brutalities and barbarity,” he added.
The AJK president called upon the international community particularly the United Nations to move forward, and instead of relying on hollow statements, take concrete steps to prevent ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri people.
He also paid glowing tributes to the detained Hurriyat leaders and hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri people for offering resistance and sacrifices amidst Indian brutalities.
Meanwhile, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan says Indian republic day is a black day for Kashmiris as the so called democratic country has maintained its illegal occupation over Kashmir and consistently denying the UN acknowledge right to self determination of eight people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In an interview to a private TV channel in connection with the black day here on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that India is behaving in undemocratic way in Kashmir for the last decades.
He further said that true face of the so called Indian democracy could be seen in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
“Imposition of black-laws are totally against the democratic norms and culture. India must tell world that what he done in Kashmir after 5th Augusts’ unilateral and unlawful act being done in any democracy?” Haider questioned.
Replying a question, the Prime Minister said that India has violated the UNSC resolutions on Kashmir and added that Kashmiris are the basic party of the issue.
He appealed world powers to exert pressure on India to come to the dialogue. “However, bilateral dialogue couldn’t solve the issue. Kashmiris must be included and there should be trilateral dialogue for the peaceful settlement of the longstanding dispute”, PM maintained.
He also urged international community and global bodies to play their role and stop massive human rights violations by the Indian military and paramilitary forces. “International observers themselves visit the occupied territory to assess the ground realities”, the premier added
