In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader Farida Behenji has expressed concern over the increasing state terrorism and the killing of innocent Kashmiri people by the Indian troops in occupied territory.
Farida Behenji in a statement issued in Srinagar said the silence of the international community on India’s atrocities in IIOJK is encouraging it in its brutalities on the Kashmiris.
She said despite the holy month of Ramadan, there has been no decrease in the brutal acts of the Indian troops in the occupied territory. The houses of the Hurriyat leaders and activists are being raided and they are being harassed and prevented from per-forming their religious duties in this holy month, she deplored.
Farida Behenji said the Kashmiris, who have been subjected to cruelty, violence and bloodshed on a daily basis by Indian troops for over seven decades, are continuously deprived of justice.
She said the Kashmiri people are peacefully struggling for their fundamental right to self-determination but India is suppressing their struggle through military force. India would never succeed in its nefarious designs to weaken the freedom senti-ment of the Kashmiri people, she maintained.
She also paid tribute to prominent political and religious leader Mirwaiz Muhammad Yusuf Shah on his death anniversary and said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs would definitely bring positive results.—KMS
