Four held on criminal charges, vehicle recovered

The district police claimed to have arrested four suspected criminals, including two members of a car-lifting gang, and recovered a stolen vehicle and other valuables from their possession.

According to the police spokesman, the arrested car-lifters of ‘Shada gang’ were identified as Shehzad alias Shada and Fayyaz. Police also recovered three Mehran cars, four Suzuki pickup vehicles and other items from their possession.

For this purpose, a special team was constituted under the supervision of SHO Cantt police station. On the directives of SP (Potohar) Muhammad Waqas Khan, police team conducted a raid and managed to arrest the gang members.

As per the preliminary police record, the criminals were also involved in many other crimes, he added.

Meanwhile, the district police, in an operation, on Friday arrested two suspected for their alleged involvement in the street crimes and recovered cash worth Rs 105,000, an iPhone, weapons and other items from their possession.

According to the press release issued by the CPO office Rawalpindi, SaddarWah po-lice arrested SherAlam, identified as ringleaderand Hamza, wanted in various cases.

He said that the police team constituted under the supervision of SHO SaddarWah Police Station on the directives of the Superintendent of Police Potohar, Muhammad Waqas Khan conducted the raid.

A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation was under process, he added.
