RAWALPINDI – A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a married neighbor in the Qazian area within the jurisdiction of the Gujar Khan Police Station.
The police said that the suspect continuously raped and threatened the minor, who was residing in the same neighborhood.
The complainant, a laborer originally hailing from Toba Tek Singh and currently residing in the Habib Canal area of Qazian, stated that his 14-year-old niece had come to stay with him approximately two and a half months ago.
According to the report, the girl fainted at home a few days ago.
When her family attempted to take her to a doctor, she initially refused. Later, out of fear, she revealed that a neighbour who found her alone at home around two and a half months ago and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The complainant further alleged that the suspect—a married man and father of two—continuously harassed and threatened the girl. He allegedly assaulted her again 10 days ago, and caused her condition to deteriorate.
The police said that a case has been registered regarding the incident and the named suspect has been taken into custody. The police are investigating the matter.
