IG Karachi presents report on measures against crimes

Additional IG Karachi Javed Odhu presented his report to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the measures taken regarding the prevention of crimes during the last 24 hours. The Sindh Chief Minister was told that 120 street crime incidents were reported across the city during the last 24 hours, including 32 mobile/cash thefts, 8 car thefts, 8 motorcycle thefts and 72 thefts.

The Chief Minister of Sindh was told that during the last 24 hours there were 4 encounters between the police and criminals in which 2 criminals were arrested in injured condition while 10 street criminals/thieves were arrested red-handed. The report stated that a total of 120 accused were arrested. In which 19 street criminals/robbers, 23 carlifters, 5 murderers, 23 people for possessing illegal weapons, 10 drug dealers/suppliers and 40 people involved in other crimes were arrested.

Regarding the recovery, the Sindh Chief Minister was told that during various raids/operations, the police recovered 23 illegal weapons, 5 kg of hashish, 5 stolen mobile phones and 21 stolen vehicles; include two cars and 19 motorcycles.
