In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, protests were held in Mehjoor Negar area of Srinagar against the brutal anti-people measures of the Delhi-run regime including growing scarcity of water, power shortage, inflation and unemployment.
People hit roads at Mehjoor Nagar, uptown Srinagar, and blocked traffic. Both men and women who were part of the protest expressed serious concern over the step-motherly treatment to the residents by the Modi regime.
“When we have been already suffering immensely due to water and power shortage, inflation and unemployment,” the occupation regime “has now added more to our woes as only four kg ration is available for a consumer at a ration depot,” a protester, Muhammad Ismail said.
Another protester Farooq Ahmed said, “Neither there is kerosene, nor flour, nor sugar. Now the ration too has been stopped,” he added.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed while another was injured after a car was deliberately hit by an Indian Army vehicle in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, today.
