A delegation of Al-Tirmidhi Foundation visited the Central Police Office Islamabad and met with AIG Establishment and AIG General.
A MOU was signed between Islamabad capital police and Al-Tirmidhi foundation for tele health system. By this system, the officials will get direct assistance of digital clinic doctors through their smart phones by 24/7 along with this, they also get an onlineappointment from a specialist doctor as well. The facility of all specialist doctors is available in this system.
IGP Islamabad said that, in the first phase, the tele-health booths are set up in the Central Police Office, CPO Operations office and SSG line. He further said that, the paramedical staff will be present at tele booths round the clock and senior doctors will be available online at these booths. Policemen may get medicines after visiting the booths and consultation fees will be paid by the police department itself. Moreover, mobile tele-health units are also established where doctors will be present online and they would visit the houses of policemen after receiving any emergency calls from them.
The existing ambulances of Islamabad capital police are connected with this system where online tele health doctors are present to provide services to policemen during special duties at gatherings, public events or any other law and order situation.
IGP Islamabad said that personnel of the force have risks of diseases like heart attack, blood pressure, mental stress due to old age, and tough duties, and this system will help to improve their health facility and mitigate such risks. He further stated that this system was the need of the hour which would help to ensure timely medical checkup and treatments to the officials.
