The district police on Friday arrested six suspects, including two proclaimed offenders (POs) wanted in a murder case registered in KotliSattian police station.
According to the press release issued by CPO office, the police managed to arrest the POs, Muhammad Akram and AlamZaib, on a tip off. The nabbed criminals were wantedto police in a murder case registered against them at KotliSattian police station.
They were allegedly involved in the murder Khayyam Shafqat, a resident of KotliSattian. The man had been killed over a petty dispute in October this year. The local police on the application of the victim’s brother registered a case and managed to net the POs wanted in the case.
He said that Rawalpindi district police were taking stern action in accordance with the law against the lawbreakers, adding, the operations would continue and all the POs would be sent behind the bars. Superintendent of Police (Kohsar) directed the police officers to accelerate on-going operations against POs and most wanted criminals.
Meanwhile, the same police arrested four suspected gamblers and recovered Rs 15,140 stake money, four mobile phones and valuables from their possession. Acting on a tip-off, theBanni police conducted a raid and arrested Tauqeer, Shehzad, Hussain and Shehbaz who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.
