Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the only aim behind politics of the ruling elite is to enjoy power and secure the interest of their own class.
In a statement issued from Mansoora on Saturday, he said the politics on the basis of money and power were meant never for serving the masses. Siraj lamented the former and present governments badly failed to formulate pro-public policies, damaging the social and economic fabric of the society. He said it was a need of the hour that youth and educated people joined politics and took stand to get rid of the status quo parties.
The door of the JI, he said, was always open for those people who wanted to turn Pakistan an Islamic welfare state through a peaceful and democratic struggle.
