Mehbooba, Farooq condemn killing of two civilians by Indian troops in Rajouri

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti, has condemned the killing of two civilians by Indian troops in Rajouri district.

The civilians, Kamal Kumar and Surinder Kumar were killed by the troops outside an army camp near the Poonch-Rajouri highway on Friday.

Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet said that it was tragic that two innocent lives were lost due to firing by the army. She said an impartial probe must be carried out to ensure that culprits are punished and justice is served.

Meanwhile In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, leaders of regional political parties have condemned the killing of two civilians by Indian troops in Rajouri district, today.

The civilians identified as Kamal Kumar and Surinder Kumar were killed by the troops outside an army camp near the Poonch-Rajouri highway.

The President of National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, in a statement in Srinagar said, civilian killings call for outright condemnation and cannot be condoned on any ground whatsoever. He said an independent and impartial probe into the killings should be initiated.

The President of IIOJK chapter of Indian National Congress, Vikar Rasool Wani, in his statement also denounced the killing of the civilians. He demanded time-bound judicial probe into the killings to fix responsibility.—KMS
