NAVTTC and ADB to further develop TVET Sector in Pakistan

Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation led by Mr. Farrukh Moriani met with Mr. Shahid Khan, Chairman, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Mr. Sajid Baloch, Executive Director, NAVTTC to discuss further development of skills and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Pakistan.

The NAVTTC management said on this occasion that NAVTTC under the leadership of Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, is equipping youth with the latest income generating technical skills such as e-commerce, Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Graphic Designing etc.

Mr. Farrukh Moriani, Senior Policy & Innovation Advisor for Special Economic Zones offered full support to NAVTTC management in promoting employment opportunities through skills and TVET sector development in Pakistan.

On the occasion NAVTTC management said that Government of Pakistan is fully committed to human resource development and skills development. The biggest initiative of “Prime Minster Youth Skills Development Program” is being executed through National Vocational & Technical Training Commission.

The successful implementation of Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program has resulted in empowering youth by equipping them with the latest income generating skills and increased their participation in the national development.

Asian Development Bank delegation appreciated the service delivery & performance of NAVTTC whilst NAVTTC management thanked the delegation for showing interest and support to further uplift the TEVT sector.

NAVTTC under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has taken numerous steps to organize TVET system of the country on modern lines. NAVTTC is delivering training in accordance with the internationally demanded and recognized requirements.
