Sindh minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that Sindh Excise Department has recovered Rs 39311.879 millions from July 2019 to December 2019 during current financial year Mukesh Kumar Chawla presiding over a meeting here on Thursday in his office said while in the same period during last fiscal year Rs36859.912 million were recovered. While briefing the meeting Director General ET & NC Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui told that Rs. 3128.379 millions were recovered in term of motor vehicle tax, Rs.31362.099 millions in Infrastructure Cess and Rs. 360.107 millions in Professional Tax were recovered. He added, ‘ Rs. 138.985 in term of Cotton Fee , Rs. 1524.216 millions in Property Tax and Rs. 39.281 millions in term of Entertainment Duty were recovered ‘. During the meeting on-going Road Checking Campaign in Karachi to nab the tax defaulting vehicles was also reviewed.
