Traffic came to a standstill on the road connecting Chaman to Quetta in Balochistan on Friday as the truck drivers transporting goods from the Pak-Afghan border at Chaman to different destinations in Pakistan and then onwards to India via Wagah border held a protest demonstration against the arrest of one of the truck drivers by India.
Demanding immediate release of Abdul Wasey, the protesters urged the government of Pakistan to take steps to ensure the safety of Pakistani drivers on the border with India.—INP
