After electing to field first, India bundled out Thailand for a paltry 37 in 15.1 overs. India chased down the target in 6 overs on Monday.

In response India won the contest by 9 wickets, chasing the 38-run total in just 6 overs. ShafaliVerma was the only batter dismissed after being caught at 8(6). PoojaVastrakar scored an unbeaten 12(12), while SabbhineniMeghana scored 20(18). Earlier in the day it was Deepti Sharma, who provided India with an early breakthrough after stand-in skipper SmritiMandhana opted to field.

She scalped two wickets, while conceding 10 runs in her four overs quota. Apart from her SnehRana picked three wickets, while RajeshwariGayakwad scalped two. Meghna Singh also picked one wicket as Thailand lost two wickets in the form of run-out.—PR
