Robbers involved in snatching cash from pump manager arrested

Rizvia Society Police arrested the suspects involved in robbing a petrol pump manager within the limits of Samanabad and recovered the looted cash.

The action was taken on the basis of technical and human intelligence, according to spokesperson for District Central Police on Thursday.

The petrol pump manager was robbed outside the bank within the limits of Samanabad police station. The victim came to deposit Rs. 7 million in the bank.

The accused chased the manager from the pump and robbed him outside the bank and fled away. Arrested accused included Azizullah and Sohail Iqbal and their accomplices were Naeem alias Nono and Babar.

Arrested accused told the police that they could only snatch Rs. 1.9 million rest of the amount fell due to haste and firing of the guard. While the manager had mentioned robbery of Rs. 3 million in the FIR.

The accused hold criminal record and had been arrested earlier as well. The arrested accused confessed that they robbed a retail shop in Lee Market, a scrap warehouse in Sher Shah and a shop recently.

Two pistols with 30 bore load magazines, Rs. 0.7 million of the snatched cash from the pump manager and a stolen motorcycle were recovered from their possession.

Cases had been registered and further investigations were underway.
