Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik in his welcome address at the RTC-III said Pakistan is blessed with vast natural and human resources and is in reality a paradise for investors.

The CPEC, he said, provides historic opportunity to the investors both local and foreign. He highlighted the role of Pakistan Observer in promoting the objectives of the CPEC and all-weather friendship between Pakistan and China.

He said it is a matter of pride for Pakistan Observer that this RTC III is participated by representatives of those who are key stakeholders in economic development. He saluted the business community and heads of financial institutions for their contribution in boosting the Pakistan economy and welcomed them all at the gathering.

He hoped their interaction and views would help the government to get genuine input in making Pakistan more attractive for local and foreign investment. He said Pakistan firmly believes that all segments of society must complement efforts to enable Pakistan to stand on its own feet economically and financially.

It is rightly said that political sovereignty is closely linked to economic progress and prosperity of a country, he said, adding the government is striving hard to facilitate investors but proper marketing of the investment climate is key to materializing the otherwise bright prospects for investment.

That is why the Pakistan Observer has been hosting a number of similar moots to help project investment opportunities in their right perspective, he said.

Faisal Zahid Malik said friendship with China is one of the themes constantly being championed by his newspaper. “This is because China has proved by its policies that it believes in sovereign equality.

The vision of the Chinese President Xi Jinping about shared prosperity is admirable and benefits of Chinese investment have already started in the shape of the early harvest and energy projects in the country,” he said.

CPEC, he said, is a real game changer. Besides projects of economic significance all those regions of the country being neglected for decades will be benefitted.

With the development of Gwadar Port, all regions of Pakistan will be benefited socio-economically. The efforts to make Gwadar as hub of regional trade and investment would also be a source of peace and security in the region, he said.
