In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, amid checking, frisking and tight restrictions, life of Kashmiri people have been made a hell ahead of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit, tomorrow.
The personnel of Indian Army, police and Central Reserve Police Force are conducting cordon and search operations at multiple locations particularly in Rajouri district. The troops are patrolling streets in Srinagar, Baramullah and Rajouri day and night.
“Keeping in view the VVIP visit on October 4, tight security arrangements have been put in place and all kinds of necessary security measures have been taken,” officials said. “All the field forces and intelligence agencies are maintaining the highest level of alertness and all the units of police, paramilitary forces are taking utmost care vis-à-vis security arrangements in their area of jurisdiction and responsibility.”
“One such CASO was conducted in the area around the rally venue of the Indian Home Minister and the entire area was sanitized earlier this afternoon,” the officials added.
“Joint teams of Indian army, police and paramilitary forces launched CASOs in Chechra forest, Dassal Seeran, Dassal Jattan areas, and the entire belt was thoroughly screened for any kind of suspicious movement,” they added.
A multi-tier security cover has been put in place around the venue of the Home Minister rally with a thick deployment of teams of police, paramilitary, and intelligence agencies, the officials added.
Amit Shah will visit the Kashmir valley for two days beginning October 4, during which he will address two rallies and offer prayers at Vaishno Devi temple.
On the first day of the visit, he will address a public meeting at Rajouri. On October 5, he will attend a meeting in Srinagar.—KMS
