An elderly woman was burnt to death as her ‘bistar’ caught fire due to heater burnt to keep her warm here on Wednesday. According to details, the incident took place inside a house situated at Millat Road Faisalabad, where fire was lit near charpai of 90-year-old Wakeelan Bibi to keep her safe of intensity of cold weather. The flames led to fire in bistar of the woman who can’t move due to weakness. Wakeelan Bibi was burnt to death before the blaze could be extinguished. The Rescue 1122 shifted the scorched body to hospital where it was handed over to heirs after legal formalities.—INP
