Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President and JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that political stability was indispensable to steer the country out of the economic crisis. Talking to private Tv channel on Wednesday , he said “We are trying to get the nation out of the chaos of internal divide and take them to national unity so that the political and economic crises can be overcome,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said.

He added that political stability in any country was the ladder of economic evolution and a strong base for national security. “The basic document for achieving political stability is the Constitution, which reflects the collective thinking of 22 million people of the country and has the status of a national charter,” he pointed out.

He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had not only weakened the country economically but also shattered the national unity through the politics of hatred and vengeance.

“By destroying our social values and political traditions, the PTI has polluted mutual respect, political tolerance and the morals of young generation,” Fazlur Rehman deplored.

“Imran Niazi deliberately weakened the Parliament and made all the institutions including judiciary and election commission controversial,” he added.
