A wicked person tortured to death husband of his elder sister over land dispute and escaped the scene here on Wednesday. Police said that the incident took place in Balak police station jurisdiction, tehsil Tandlianwala of Faisalabad district where an accused Umer Hayat brutally tortured his brother-in-law (sister’s husband) identified as Liaqat with batons over ownership of a piece of land.
Liaqat was critically injured due to brutal torture and expired before could be provide medical treatment. The culprit fled the scene after committing the crime. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.—INP
