Hafizabad police arrested 80 drugs paddlers during a week and recovered heavy contingent of narcotics from their possession. District Police Officer Hafizabad Anwar Saeed Kingra said that special crackdown launched against drugs peddlers to curb menace of drugs trafficking in the district and police would not take rest till elimination this menace.
He said that district police arrested 80 accused from various places in the district and recovered 53 kg chars, 735 gram heroin and 390 litter liquor from their possession. Police have registered separate cases against accused with different police stations of the district, he added.
Meanwhile the additional District and Session Judge Hafizabad Umer-Bin-Akbar Qurashi released two prisoners involved in pity cases on personal bonds from district Jail Hafizabad, on Tuesday. Additional District and Session Judge Umer-bin-Akbar Qurashi visited District Jail Hafizabad. Civil Judge Attiq-ur-Rehamn also accompanied by him. They inspected barracks of women, under age prisoners, kitchen, hospital and other parts of the areas.
