0.3m children to be administered anti polio drops

More than 0.3 million children will be administered polio drops during five days long “Anti Polio Campaign”. Deputy Commissioner Attock Hassan Waqar Cheema said this while inaugurating the campaign at DHQ Hospital Attock. CEO Health Dr Jawad Elahi and other officers were present on the occassion.

Deputy Commissioner said that govt and public collectively to make efforts to eradicate this disease. He said that he himself will supervise the anti polio campaign to make it a success.

Earlier the health authorities apprised the Duty Commissioner that to administered anti polio drops to 310,000 children upto the age of five years, 1602 teams have been constituted which include 1436 mobile teams, 126 static and 40 transit teams.

During the campaign vitamin A drops will also be administered to the children. The campaign will be monitored by health officers, representatives of World Health Organization and the Deputy Commissioner himself.
